About Lauren

Lauren is a Psychosexual and Relationship Psychotherapist who works mainly with couples experiencing complex relationship difficulties and uses a range of tools and interventions to address communication issues that in turn help the couple to figure out the function within the dysfunction of their presenting sexual issue. 

Lauren retrained in her late 20s when she realised she was in the wrong career and couldn’t be congruent. In her early 20’s she had explored therapy but discovered the barriers within therapy around sex  (not all therapists are comfortable talking about sex!) When she decided to retrain she realised that she still had a lot of therapeutic work to do and with the help and inspiration of a Kink Educator, A Sex Positive Psychotherapist and a Pro Dominatrix she found her way in to the world of Psychosexual and Relationship therapy.  

During her training, Lauren found substantial support within the kink community and co-facilitated workshops on boundaries and consent. She qualified just before the COVID-19 pandemic, at which point her work shifted toward couples therapy, diverging from psychosexual work but retaining its foundational focus on education and boundaries. Lauren completed advanced training in couples therapy and practiced in Clapham and Harley Street before relocating to Henley in 2021. She approaches sex and sexuality with an open and progressive attitude, working around themes of curiosity, exploration, communication, self-identity, vulnerability, and autonomy.
